Turns Out I Had More to Say

My “soft launch” didn’t hit the way I wanted it to. Lesson learned. So here’s the blunt version of what Kate’s Edit really is—and why I created it.

This is not a mommy blog. This is not a space where I dive into parenting tips or vent about the struggles of raising a tiny human. That’s something my husband and I agreed early on to keep between us. Our rule: if we need to “complain,” we do it to each other. Privately. With snacks.

But—this is a space for young working women. Whether you’re climbing the corporate ladder, building your own thing, or clocking in as an employee—this is for you.

I created Kate’s Edit because I needed a space like this, and I couldn’t find one anywhere. Sure, there were places kind of like it, but they were all filled with women who were just… older than me. (Not old—just a different season.) I needed something that felt like me. So I built it. And I’m hoping someone else out there needs it too—and finds me here.

And just so we’re clear: I love my kid more than life. He’s my entire world. But I’m also a whole person outside of being a mom—with dreams, opinions, and goals that don’t involve fruit pouches.

So, here’s to this adventure. I hope I didn’t scare you off. And I can’t wait to keep sharing my slightly chaotic, probably-too-honest, sometimes-sketchy writing with you.

xo,

Kate
